Pierwszy utwór napisany dla cyklu The Bio-Synth Sanctuary to muzyczny obrzęd przejścia. Rytuał, który rozpoczyna drogę przemiany i jest pierwszą lokalizacją w Sanktuarium z której mamy łatwy dostęp do pozostałych komnat.

Po krótkim wprowadzeniu do rytuału następuje trwająca ponad 6 minut faza wyłączenia i jest to intencjonalna próba odebrania statusu jednostki. Jednostka jest wyłączana z pomocą kilku zabiegów, które są konsekwencją inżynierskiego motto "miks powinien wpływać na emocje ciała". W tej fazie tempo zmienia się płynnie z 78 do 99 uderzeń na minutę. Aby utrzymać słuchacza w ciągłym uniesieniu i niepewności przez cały czas generowany jest ton Sheparda. Dolne pasmo wypełniają oscylatory Mooga, Timpani i nisko strojone Djembe.

Plemiennie wykrzykiwane "Daj!/Die!" to sugestia dla bilingwistycznej interpretacji. Z jednej strony "Daj!" podkreśla istotę konceptu The Bio-Synth Sanctuary czyli brak balansu między zabieraniem a dawaniem. Z drugiej strony "Die!" to ukłon w stronę holistycznych rytuałów, gdzie jednostka musi umrzeć, aby jej lepsza wersja mogła narodzić się na nowo. Rytualna "śmierć" jest charakterystyczna dla fazy wyłączenia.

Kolejne 2 minuty i 30 sekund to faza liminalna. Efekt przejściowy zobrazowany ambientowym uwolnieniem. Miękkie analogowe płaszczyzny mają dawać efekt kojący, ale przede wszystkim element zawieszenia, w którym jednostka nie jest już tym, kim była dotychczas, ale nie jest jeszcze tym, kim stanie się za chwilę. Muzycznie ta faza mogła by ciągnąć się w nieskończoność, ale wówczas rytuał przejścia nie będzie skończony i jednostka nie uzyska nowego statusu.

Ten nowy status zostaje nadany w ostatniej, trwającej prawie 3 minuty fazie włączenia. Atmosferyczny gitarowy shimmer symbolizuje zakończenie rytuału jednocześnie daje bardzo dużo nadziei, który bardzo mocno kontrastuje z ponurą estetyką Sanktuarium. Muzycznie ta ostatnia faza jest jednak kontynuacją fazy zawieszenia, bo chciałbym podkreślić fakt, że jeden rytuał to prawdopodobnie zbyt mało, aby świadomie zacząć zwracać uwagę na etyczną równowagę.

Utwór kończy się na symbolicznym czasie 11:11.

The first piece written for the Bio-Synth Sanctuary cycle is a musical rite of passage. A ritual that begins the path of transformation and is the first location in the Sanctuary from which we have easy access to the other chambers.

This is your Ritual!

After a short introduction to the ritual, a shutdown phase lasting over 6 minutes follows, and it is an intentional attempt to take away the status of the individual. The individual is shut down with the help of several procedures, which are a consequence of the engineering motto "the mix should affect the emotions of the body". In this phase, the tempo changes smoothly from 78 to 99 beats per minute. In order to keep the listener in constant elation and uncertainty, the Shepard tone is generated throughout. The lowest range is filled by Moog oscillators, Timpani and low-tuned Djembe.

The tribally shouted "Daj!(Give!)/Die!" is a suggestion for a bilingual interpretation. On the one hand, "Daj!(Give!)" emphasizes the essence of The Bio-Synth Sanctuary concept, i.e. the lack of balance between taking and giving. On the other hand, "Die!" is a nod to holistic rituals, where an individual must die so that a better version of themselves can be born again. Ritual "death" is characteristic of the shutdown phase.

The next 2 minutes and 30 seconds are the liminal phase. A transitional effect illustrated by ambient release. Soft analog surfaces are to provide a soothing effect, but above all an element of suspension, in which the individual is no longer who they were before, but is not yet who they will become in a moment. Musically, this phase could go on forever, but then the ritual of passage will not be over and the individual will not gain a new status.

This new status is given in the last, almost 3-minute-long turn-on phase. Atmospheric guitar shimmer symbolizes the end of the ritual and at the same time gives a lot of hope, which contrasts very strongly with the gloomy aesthetics of the Sanctuary. Musically, this last phase is a continuation of the suspension phase, because I would like to emphasize the fact that one ritual is probably not enough to consciously begin to pay attention to ethical balance.

The piece ends at the symbolic time of 11:11.
